A Crash Course on Nonabelian Hodge Theory

The celebrated nonabelian Hodge theory gives a correspondence between Higgs bundles and local systems, via the intermediate objects: integrable connections. This short course aims on an introduction to this theory. If time permits, I will report some recent work with G. Kydonakis, H. Sun and L. Zhao on the nonabelian correspondence for meromorphic connections with regular or irregular singularities. The result is applicable to general complex reductive groups as the structure group.
