Abstract: In Kahler geometry, it was proved by Ni that curvature on nonflat Kahler manifold with nonnegative bisectional curvature cannot decay too fast at infinity. In this talk, we will discuss how Ricci flow can be used to prove the Riemannian gap theorem. We will also discuss how the method related to existence of expanding soliton. Biography: Man-Chun Lee is currently an assistant professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Previously, he was a Boas Assistant Professor at Northwestern University and a Research Fellow at Warwick University. He got his PhD in mathematics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong under the supervision of Luen-Fai Tam. His research interests lie in the field of Riemannian geometry, complex geometry and geometric partial differential equation.
