Title: Nearly holomorphic modular forms and representations of SL(2,R)
Abstract: Following a recent note by Pitale, Saha and Schmidt, this talk will give an introduction to nearly holomorphic modular forms on the complex upper half plane. We will show how to approach to Shimura's classical structure theorem on the space of all nearly holomorphic modular forms via the representation theory of SL(2,R). This structure theorem can be deduced from a decomposition for the space of n-finite automorphic forms on SL(2,R), which is implied by a little knowledge of BGG category O.
